TARS ARE DEDICATED:

To educating teenagers in the traditional principles of free enterprise, constitutionel government, and patriotism.

To training young people in the techniques of precinct organization to help elect Republican candidates to local, state, and national offices.

TRAINING FOR LEADERSHP:

More than 300,000 teenagers have attended National, Regional, State, and District TAR Workshops dealing with current issues and campaign organization.

TAR Leadership Conference is held annually in Washington D.C. The conference concentrates on legislation and issues relating to foreign and domestic policy. Nationally recognized experts from government, business, industry, and the media are featured.

In the past 39 years, 49 TAR Field Representatives have traveled throughout 48 States promoting youth involvement in GOP politics.

TAR Headquarters provides Seminer Kits on drug and alcohol abuse prevention,
free enterprise economics, and precinct organization. . . distributes thousands of books on conservative issues, national defense and capitalism.
LOCAL, STATE, & NATIONAL CAMPAIGNS:

Thousands of TAR clubs across the country mobilize each year into Registration and Get-Out-the-Vote-Teams. By speaking to other young people in their own terms, TARS play a major role in convincing newly enfranchised citizens to vote Republican.

National TAR Headquarters provides Free-enterprise Portfolios featuring an assortment of books, charts, pamphlets, brochures, and films which explain, in clear-cut terms, just what our free enterprise system is and how it works. . . the responsibility that free citizens have to each other and to a system of law.
COMMUNITY ACTION:

TARS are involved in their communities and work with Senior Citizens on a variety of community service and political-action activities. Specifically, TARS are involved in Special Olympics. . . collect toys and clothes for needy children . . . help at Community Teen Centers . . . visit and work in local hospitals . . . participate in area clean-up campaigns . . . and solicit donations for worthy local charities
DRUG & ALCOHOL ABUSE PREVENTION:

TARS "Stop Drugs" campaign is being carried into every American high school. This unique student-to student program distributes thousands of Kits containing pamphlets, charts, posters, and seminar manuals. The Kit also contains information about drug seminars to be conducted in the community as well as in the schools . . . are provided on the harmful effects of narcotics and alcohol . . . and hard-hitting speakers - who know how to reach young people - are provided free of charge.
FILM LIBRARY:

National TARS provides films, free of charge, to TAR and TAR Clubs nationwide on topics such as running campaigns, understanding the Republican Party, and our free-enterprise society.
